Re: DIESEL PUMP TUNING TODAY!!

right - o!! heres did (and dint happen) there are loads of companies whom are very clued up and know how to tune NA derv engines etc . quite a few can say 10/20% gain in bhp (and more importantly torque) . this is done by basically 'overfuelling' (tuning the pump and the basics are - although a very basic rule of thumb- the more fuel you stick in the more power is made, until you reach a point where unburnt fuel is thrown out the exhaust as black smoke!) the company i went to were as straight as a die and first thing they did was to put the engine on the MOT emmissions tester , i achieved an average of 2.3 against the failure level of 2.5 on a NA engine.this is a low mileage engine thats been fed on injection cleaner and has good injectors!! the thing i am faced with now is if i go with one of the reputable tuning companies , i will get the gain in power but fail the MOT!! bugger!! back to the drawing board! sure i read somewhere x loss in kg = y increase in tonne/bhp , wheres the disc cutter..............................................................
