how hot should temp get?
my guage never gets much out of 'white' part of guage or maybe less then first line on left. where should it sit? someone taken stat out ?

My 300 td with intercooler runs at 1/2 or slightly over.
mines NA if that makes any difference
If I drive more than 80 for some distance it goes a bit higher, so it could be the hotter combustion.
I woukd put stat back in it, engine wont runs as effecient. It should be just below the middle line and will go up to 3/4 in traffic, say usual M25 type traffic.
My 300(t)D ran cool like that when I go it .. could just about get up to 1/3 if I caned it. Radiator had already been reworked .. it was duff thermostat .. the old one did not move if boiled on the cooker! New QH cheapy and it sits middle of the gauge and the heater now works :wink: . If I cane it I can tell which gear I am in .. 4th flat out runs hotter than 5th. This temperatture sensitivity is as aftermarket TD were when new.

you stat missing aswell then ??!! :lol: you reckon thats how it should be ? i thought i read somewhere (MB idiots book) that it gets to halfway ish)
