Re: War and Peace Show

Wish I had a 'green' G, mine's red! I took a H2 Hummer there as part of work back in 2004. It had a desert sticker all over it so looked vaguely military!

Re: War and Peace Show

I meant military is the loosest sense of the word of course!

Average consumption: 10.1 MPG
Limted to 100mph

All mod cons, but a piece of rubbish really.

Re: War and Peace Show

And here it is!................
We will be at the War and Peace Show as usual this year! Bob will be there from tuesday making a very tall watch tower and enjoying a bit of R&R from work, wife and kids.
Saturday Night is BBQ night and anyone who reads this is welcome to join us (bring a sausage or 2) If you know in advance that you are coming let me know via the forum or send me a private email.
How to find us?... Well we will have a tall watch tower flying a skull and cross bones in the Americas Field usaually near to the off road course but i will be more definate once Bob is dispatched with all the equipment to build our camp.

By the way - to all those worried about dressing up..... its optional but be warned when you see those ex army camo stalls its easy to get kitted out quite cheaply. if not for yourself, the kids love it! other essentials, suntan lotion and a hat as its always very hot.(apart from the year it rained of course!!)
Hope to see you there. :D

Re: War and Peace Show

Hi Helen,
We will be there all week, we should probably dig out some of the old Ta camoflage unifors/trousers, I will possibly have expanded enough round the middle for them to actually fit me by now.
We will be in the Steyr Puch Van after all, seeing as I did not Mot the Galaxy
Cheers,
Marcus

Hi Marcus,
Bob says pop in and see him during the week. I won't be there until friday.
Clothes for all shapes and sizes available on the stalls.
Incidently Bob won't have our G with him as its currently my 'womans run around' as my other car failed its MOT!
Are you there for business or pleasure?

Re: War and Peace Show

Hello Helen
I hope to be going Saturday! Also would like to stay for the bbq if possible?
As the show finishes at 6pm how do you stay longer, do I need to get a pass? Is there camping over night so I can have a small drink!
PS are you the lady I sometimes see driving the silver g-wagon?
thanks Michael

Re: War and Peace Show

No Michael my G is old and green!!
Camping is possible and I suggest that you look at the show website
www.warandpeaceshow.com for details or email rex@warandpeace.uk.com.

Once you are in the show ground they will not throw you out at 6 if you are wanting to stay later and your g should be safe in the car park as there are security guards.

Hope to see you there.

I will give better location details for our camp once i have them so watch this space.

I love your signature. Unfortunately it is more than true: It is my wife driving my G-Wagen daily.
