See another satisfied member. Brings back fond memories of the last time I did colour G-Wizz. Hands up anyone who didn't understand a word I said. In fact hands up to any one who put there hands up to become editor, no I never saw them either, hence its been pushed my way.
I'll just go back to squezzing my spots then. MB owners club is may be more your style. Looks like GWOA is looking for another magazine co-ordinator. Noticed in the newsletter I didnt mention me as an editor, me sir , no sir.

Hi,
Well, I just got my copy of the newest Newsletter.

There were more grammatical and spelling errors I thought possible in a
sheet of A3. And all on glossy paper and in colour!

Would you please email me Ian Watson's address so I can snail mail to him
the corrections [I got fed up after a while and probably missed some].

Now, I know you'll probably tell me to be patient, to give the newbies a
chance etc. but, hang it all, this newsletter is the image of G Wagen
owners and not some fanzine produced by a hormone busting teenager whose
only association with grammar is the one who sends him a pair of socks for
Christmas.

Standby For Action! is the clarion call. Ian Watson is going to buy a
dictionary!

Cheers,

[possible candidate for Grumpy Old Men]

I'm thinking may be the next G-wizz can be in teenage phone text grammer.

GR8 (Thats "great" for those of you more intelligent than me) I can squezze 16 pages of shite in an A3 page then.

What actually surprised me was that reminders for membership had been sent out, i didn't get one!!!

Still a good news sheet though, i had been keen to see SlowHands G since i heard some body had bought it and there it was - shame there wasn't more detail but would be good to see more on it later on.........

TBH i could never get round to working on a magazine let alone a newsletter so i for one am glad to get anything fru the post - thanks.

Re: newsletter

What ho PP!
Personaly, i think you deserve a pat on the back for the news letter! Those that complain should be reminded that they had the chance of the editorial position when the vacancy was formaly anounced at the AGM.

Re: newsletter

Spot on Merv, I can’t believe people are willing to pick holes in the voluntary hard work of others.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Newsletter, thanks very much Ian.

Re: newsletter

Was the writer anonymous or were you being polite in not printing the writers name?

All he/she has to do is volunteer to proof read; they've obviously a talent for it.

Hey presto, a writer of the newsletter and someone to polish it as the official organ of GWOA.

One question however, why did Grumpy Old Man get A3? Mine was an A4 size sheet. Is this proof-reader proof read?

Pedants away!!

I ALWAYS enjoy reading about G's and I also spotted some errors but picking fault? That's like complaining about a pimple at the top of Halle Berry's thigh. Just be pleased to be looking at the top of Halle Berry's thigh is my motto.

Re: newsletter

I very much agree that those who wish to criticise should rather come up with a better idea, ie doing an issue or two themselves.

Started a new string on this and other club issues here:

Re: newsletter

I was being polite, as its not correct for me to mention the "NEW" members name, and if I am right I doubt if he/she enters the forum as there are too(two,to ?) many hairy arsed un-educated num-skulls here one must think.
