Hello to everyone from a new member!

Hello everyone my name is Dan, i'm 23, living in Henley-On-Thames, UK and I'm very excited to be a new member here at GWOA!!!

My first experience with a G-Wagon was when I was about 15, I remember going to a friends birthday party and a big gang of us got the train over to where he lived and his Dad picked us up in their 460 G (Don't know which engine sorry memory isn't that good!)

I remember thinking it had a certain WOW factor then but obviously was a little young to do anything other than admire!

Anyway the G never really crossed my path again until about 3 weeks ago. I was visitng the Mercedes factory in Sindelfingen with my father collecting his new CLS 55 AMG and there on the collection floor was someones G55 in Obsidian Black with black privacy glass and my jaw hit the floor! It looked absolutely awesome and I think my dad was a little miffed I was more interested in the G than his new CLS!

So now i'm back in the UK after doing silly miles per hour back through Europe in the CLS and looking to learn about the G.

I have always driven cars with a passionate owner following (Currently driving a 2001 Mazda MX5) and enjoy the culture of owning a slightly unique car!

So I have been reading posts on here and all the sites in the links section for hours each night and am starting to think which G's i'd like (and unfortunately what G's I can afford!!)

Today I paid a visit to G-Wagen.co.uk as they're just up the road from me and it was really exciting to be able to sit in some G's and get a better feel for them!

Please excuse any posts I might make that may be a little obviousi in the beginning, and I thank everyone in advance for all the help you give me in answering my posts!

Hopefully I'll meet some some of you at an Owners Assoc. meeting when I've got my first G! :D
