Im a Danish framer seeking some info on the G400 CDI. I am currently trying to buy one from Germany. How does the G400 shape up to the other Geländewagens ?
Are there some things which you need to take into concideration before buying a 400 ?
As a rookie on the mercedes front I am open to all kinds of input.

well if you look at www.benzworld.org you will see many people steer clear of the G400CDI because of the early problems of the head gaskets. However we in the UK have had little experience as there are a handfull of LHD imported G400 over here, which incidently may be better for you to purchase a 400 from the UK, as they just dont sell over here because of being left hand drive. Also 2002-2003 G had quite alot of niggling electrical problems 2000 models were better. But having said all this I have never owned a 400cdi so cannot give you experience, only hear say and other peoples views.

anyway I thought farmers were poor :shock: and the import duty in denmark must be terrible. Now where can I buy 5000 acres.
There is a farmer in the GWOA who I believe is on his 2nd G400. You might want to see if you can drop him a line.

Try 180% tax on every car imported into Denmar. This is why I cant afford a 4 seater but have to take the back seats out so I dont get taxed so much. STUPID if u ask me, but that is the only way to own a G400 without having to pay 170.000 pounds for it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
