Any other G driving girls out there?

Just got my first G Wagen....
280GEL LWB 1988 Metallic Green. Only two previous (celebrity) owners, comedian Billy Connolly then drummer Ray Cooper (Eric Clapton, Elton John). Mint condition, came with FSH with Robert Schmitt, plus a fanatastic sound system. Did a 200 mile trip last week, averaging about 80mph and managed 205 mile from a full tank, plus no sign of the 60mph+ vibration that I've read about on the forums. Very pleased.
So, any other mums enjoying their G wagens?

There are only a couple that I know of but all the same its great to hear from women enthusiasts, wish my wife would understand G Wagens. Sounds like your car has a heap of history. any chance of posting some piccys. A fellow member has just purchased Eric Claptons G500 AMG with only 11,000 miles on it. £20,000 worth of in-car entertainment in that one as well.

PP how did your guy come about buying Slowhands Gwagen? i wouldn't of minded that one for my self.....did it cost much? (rude question i know...)

I sold a G 280GEL (1988) to a friend down at Margret River a few months back, her name is Fiona, and she loves her G.
Her partner has a 300GDS, which he enjoys as well.
I rang the other day and she was out playing in the mud in her G, I'll get her email to you through your profile.

hi frannie, you are not alone i have a LWB 460 which i have had for about 3 years. my other half has a SWB 463. i love my G and so do my three girls although it is used for the school runs it is also used of the road which is GREAT fun. i expect you guys out there are going to think that i am mad as my G even has a name which is warren as in warren g which i must add the girls named it. i often vist this forum but as it is my other half who has registered it is in his name. iam sure there are more female G drivers out somewhere. sarah
My GF drives my 280 and is trying to get her hands on the G500 keys.
Whilst I have been reduced to buttering Senior Managment up all week in hopes of being allowed to borrow her "G" to come over to the AGM, as I have let the MOT lapse on mine.

My wife (5'2") at first said the G was far too big and intimidating for her to drive now she uses any excuse to get behing the wheel-I think she's getting a Boadicea complex-next thing will be swords on the wheels !
She keeps muttering about Romans !
I want her back in her bloody Volvo!
I want my G back!
She tells me she's doing me a favour taking it to work so that I can get more excercise by walking everywhere !!!
