idle thoughts

I joined the other day because last week I recommended two people to look here for G-Wagens (I've dipped into the posts here in the past)

I've been driving over 30 years and in three days in Paddington, where I was working last week, two different people asked me if I was selling my car! This has never happened before.

What is suddenly the big attraction? Is there a film out with a G-Wagen in it or something?

The first thought my made up on the spot price was fine and would pay, the second thought it way too high. It was too high but I was taken by surprise and had no thought of selling anyway.

Just looking at the posts on other threads here now the thought is in my mind I followed the links to a couple of German sites with an abundance of LHD G's. Has anyone gone this route?

I go that route at least once a month Quive and come back via Amsterdam... :D

The Bourne Supremacy. Usher has two in a recent video and there is a TV show (Can't remember name) where the G gets more coverage than many of the cast... at least thats my impression as I have never seen the show but each time I channel surf they are showing the G...

I too have had people leaving notes on my car and coming up to me. Also the last few months I have seen an abundancy of Gs. It would not be rare for me to go out and see 5+ Gs in a day. Particularly in the West End or Nottinghill.
