Loved the G for it's looks for about 20 years.

Got my first around 89 (christened Harry by wife and children) which I kept until 2002. A 230GES

Replaced with 463GES. very smooth and luxurious and an auto box..

Don't off-road, just love driving them and never once have they failed to make me feel good when I get in in the morning.

When thinking a few years back of replacing it, you should have seen the salesmans faces when they asked what I am looking for in a car and I reply "something that I want to get into every day and drive and feel good. " They sensed there was nothing on their forecourts that can do this for me.

It's a bit like finding a haircut or a gil after many years as a teenager trying different ones, you find one that is just right if you're lucky. So it is with the G and me, actually, all of us. My wife doesn't use the internet so I'm safe.

Don't care about the gradients it might climb or the deserts it might cross, I just feel on top of the world. Very few cars can do this.

Been a member of GWOA for around three years. Not at all technical. Can't help anyone on that front I'm afraid.

Just love the G-Wagen.

Yes, I think you got it in one, old chap. The essential being of the G....it makes you feel good everytime you drive it. I'd agree with that.

I don't bother to speed anymore as I'm always slightly disappointed when I arrive at having to get out of the G. It's just too comfortable...
