Can Anyone Recommend A Garage?

I use a guy called George Fraser in the south of London but they will pick up your G from home. I think a few of their mechanics live in Essex so you could probably get one to pick it up from your house/work.

He is and my friend spent ££££'s with him and never cured the problem of the engine running rough and smoking badly in the morning, took it to someone else who I use and it runs like a dream. 280LWB which nows does 104mph. Turned out tobe new injectors and warm up regulators.

Yeah, now the bad news, he's in Boston in Linc's. Not that near to Essex I'm afraid. But what is it you need doing as any none techincal repairs I use the guys that do all my vans and lorrys, i.e MOT, wheel bearings,TB and auto box removals etc. When it comes to getting engine running perfect its a trip to Boston.

if its a diesel then yes they should do. Speak to Nigel he is very good.

wow, 22mpg- i would love that! Right now, I'm getting like 12 mpg or so.

I'm still looking for a good garage but havent found a good one. Does my engine seem to be behaving normally? Top speed seems to be about 80 mph and 12 mpg is pretty bad. Mind you, it is a 280ge petrol engine...

anyone in Nottingham or close to London that can sort any problems out?

ya i thought so. A friend mentioned something about engine compression to me but I don't understand what that means. :oops:

anyway, thanks Morty. By the way, i saw the article about you in this month's Mercedes Enthusiast, good article! I will be joining the GWOA myself once I get moved to London over the summer (seems as though their are more G friends down there!)
