I am writing this for any new member to the GWOA/ potential first time buyers. If the current owner is a member this post is not critiquing you in any way, it is just making sure that at almost £20K the correct procedures are carried out.
Great condition, but the price is a tad high IMHO.
Taken off the road from 2007 - Storage I presume? Potential buyers watch out for brinelling of bearings, if its been standing around.
They say original condition, for that price I would be taking along an expert (fixwin, Pistonhead to name but two) to verify and I would definitely get the GWOA member Gav.Helme to check the VIN. If MB have serviced it it will be on their system.
Think very carefully what you would want to do with this truck as off road work will reduce the value considerably!
Look forward to seeing it at this years AGM!

Hi all
look at the red overspray underneath
the rear vent covers are on backwards
the sagging headlining (caused by water in the foot wells at some stage )
the new unpainted bolts holding on the wheel arches
the wood trim has some strange fixings almost like it was from a diesel ( look where the idle increase knob would be on the left of the centre panel)
has metal fuel tank which may make it an earlier build than the first registration
not an MB bullbar

MMmm!!! very well prepared but some of the descriptive data like "unrestored" may be a bit OTT like the price
and it still only does 15 mpg
would like to see supporting invoices for some of the history ( could be MOT related servicing only )

research so far reveals very sketchy service history since 1998
just mot related
no calender time items like hydraulic flushing
buyer beware!!
the steering wheel isn't original either
It does look neat.
Thank god for educated foumeers (above) who know the in's & out's of these vehicles.... I'm sat at the bottom of a very steep learning curve, so it's great to get these snippets of info.
I think the ebay ad is a bit OTT.... stating that the diesel is "dangerous" on roads.... hmmm....
yeah well he is right on that front!

it seems the 460 G valued more in germany...
