Window Tinting Advice

I'm thinking about tinting the back and passenger windows of my W460 SWB (black). 

Does anyone know the grading that the windows would be given if factory fitted?? Eg smoked, greent tint, dark etc? I would like it to look as authentic as possible. 

Finally, could anyone recommend a place to get it done in the North-East? Teesside, Durham, Wearside or Tyneside??

 Thanks Rakesh,

I was thinking of a dark tint on the back window, to add a privacy for the boot. 

The back passenger windows I was thining a medium tinit for a bit of privacy / security, but would be nice to match them to factory standards if possible.

No tints on the front window of drivers or passenger side.

I am not sure tinted window was an option on 460?? Was it?? Did any came out of factory with tinted windows ??

If that is the case, I guess I would be looking for the standard used on the 463 when that was released.

Again i agree Fred

No option that i can see for a 460 to be anything other than clear or heat absorbing (green) tint

Only the 463 got the Black tint option

Crystal Clear
or
Heat Absorbing (Green Tint)
or
Heat Absorbing Dark (Black Tint)

and a mention of 40% Transparent Glass?

Not sure if that helps

Mercedes Benz were surprisingly quick to reply on this occasion. They do have art form in not answering questions put to them, and have proved it again on my question to them.

They have come back saying only the tint is 70% in the rear but did not state the colour.

Other comments of screen tinting above, I think is related to the light tints but not to the privacy tint.

I reckon the privacy tints are black only. Suggesting my preference, keep to the 70% filter for the tail gate and luggage compartment side glass but do not choose 70% for the rear passenger glass, choose instead a 45% - 55% tint.

Thanks for the info. Think I'll take your advice - 70% on the tail gate, 45%-55% on the passenger glass. Will go for the black privacy tint rather than green tint.

Will post some pics, when I get it done.
