what have i done
Well, what a day. Been a member on here for years (4 years and 22 weeks according to when i just logged back into the new look site - nice but i found the old one easier to navigate, maybe i'll get used to it)
Been a fan of G's for even longer than i can remember. Never owned one tho. Been to see a few over the years, but never bought.
Being a grear motor fan, had the privellege of owning and enjoying makes from porsches, GTR R35, NSX NA2,, etc but never a G.
anyway, seen a G. called up and I was working late and seller was going to the TakeThat concert and said it would be next day but he had people coming from 8:30am in the morning. For some reason, something inside me wanted to see it that night. Anyway arranged to meet him at midnight, and the drive was a few hours and I had work at 7am next day!!
Anyway, went, he was late, my satnav got me lost. At 2am got there, seen it, took it for a drive and fell in love with it. Wasn't expecting to make an offer that night (wife would kill me), but knew it would sell to the first viewer. So made an offer, he accepted and I am now the proud owner of a G :-)
Pick it up today - havn't told the wife yet!!!

Very nice, get a nice set of wheels and that will look £30k worth, nice colour
Great looking motor, and very clean. dont suppose your taking it off road
Hopefully your wife will fall in love with it when she sees it. I got mine via Pistonheads too and had a really convoluted tale of how I got it. Like yours, it was obviously meant to be and if you like it, to hell with everyone else's views!
Good call!!
Hi
You might want to check why this G' is advertised on Autotrader ( as of this morning ) at GBP 12995 by a company called SSP in Addlestone the pic shows the G@ but the add says 3 door GDS????
Hope you have many years of fun it it! Great colour and very tidy, though I thing one should get t a bit dirty...

Piece of advice: don't tell the wife.
What reminds me of something.
A friend of mine bought a Ferrari Testarossa and run it for a year without telling the wife. He would keep it in his firm's premises and sneak out every sunday morning at 5 to take for a blast on the motorways around Madrid. But then he got the Dominguin syndrome, got bored and had to sell it.
By the way, the Dominguin syndrome comes from the famous Spanish bullbigther Luis Miguel Dominguin. It is said that in Domiguin's first night of lovemaking to Ava Gardner, he got out of bed and she asked: "Where are you going?". "To go tell!" Replied the bullfighter.
What is the point of owning a Ferrari if you cannot boast about it?
Congrats on the G! I saw that one advertised and thought that it looked like a good one. Reminds me of my first G.
BTW if you fancy a set of AMG wheels i have a set for sale.
cheers for the comments... picked it up today and drove all the way round the M25 in rush hour and A1M packed with Knebworth festival goers....
nice drive, I'm liking it and it gets so much attention.
In terms of wheels, what wheels would you recommend for it and a guide price would be helpful aswell as where i could possibly source them from.
A few little things i noticed, that need sorted. The electric sunroof is tempremental and works when it wants to. And the heater doesn't seem to blow on any speed. Advice would be welcome..
thanks in advance
