a turbo d fitting a manual box
Hi all
i have noticed quite a few discussions on wether or not a turbo d engine will mate successfully with a manual box.
not long ago i bought myself a 87 300d was and still am very happy with it the only draw back is its lack of speed.
it seems that when i hit 85mph on the motor way uphill the fifth gear is all but useless is this normal :?:
the old girls in the paint shop at the moment being made to look nice so once again i am with out a G.

Totally normal... consider yourself fortunate. It's not a 240 GD. Now that's slow!
I am amazed you get 85 before hitting a hill, carefull you'l bend the windscreen
