tool kit and jack

Recently bought 1982 g wagon and just assumed being a Mercedes it would have a neat toolkit and jack area but have not found it yet! Anyone help or do I have to leave them rattling around in the boot?

jack maybe under the bonnet on the inner wing by the clip for the bonnet stay in a very neat bespoke holder with leather strap  /tool roll under the dash on the passenger side held up by two rubber straps .

Toolkit straps but no kit! Still no jack,will have to fit one! Looking for a farm jack and might fit it to back door. Any views on this?

If you do want a bottle jack, cheaper ones than Mercedes Benz jacks can be bought to replace yours.

The Hi-Lift jack is also fine; not having used one I do not know of the mounting points.

Hi Darragh,

 

Ref your question about fiiting your highlift to the back door: I haven't had a lot of success with my backdoor having put a bike rack on it with only 2 (lightweight) bikes. Lots of extra vibrations working the mounting plate for the wheel lose, drumming of the back door, etc. It might be better for you to fabricate a little 'step' above the rear light and mount your jack from there with a gripper on the roof rail to keep it in place. That way, you'd avoid having the extra weight on the door and still have a handy jack access.

Hi

Attached picture of the tool kit contents

I have the Screwdriver, Spanners, Pliers and possibly a Hexagon Key kicking about, PM me if you may need them.

I may have a Jack (Bottle) if you are local to me, they would be heavy ish to post and maybe what you want anyway.
