I'm in need of a new spare wheel cover for my Black W460. Something all black preferably.

Can anyone give me some ideas of where to look? - Offical Mercedes etc.

Also I saw this cover not so long ago and would love to get hold of one. I suspect it is custom made, but though someone here would be able to shed some light on it and where I could find one?

Thanks.

Re: Spare Wheel Cover

That looks like Kyrad's G400cdi

I am sure she will let you know where it came from if you contact her

I am 99% sure that it is a standard MB cover that has been painted or wrapped and then a star added from another MB product i.e. Van

If thats correct the covers are circa £300 + vat and a star around £20 + vat

Painting and wrapping extra...

The centre usually comes in Primer to paint but the outer rim is usually chrome / stainless effect

Re: Spare Wheel Cover

Thanks again for the help. I've messaged Kyrad and found out that it was a standard spre wheel cover, vinyl wrapped to match the rest of the car.

Looking into in now, will let you know how I get on.

Re: Spare Wheel Cover

I have the same cover on order for another GWOA member right now...

I can post some pics in its "raw" form if you like so you know what you get for your money?

If you are lucky enough to find a used one, just be careful as there are at least 2 types depending on tyre size

255 / 55 /18 and 255 / 65 16 and 225 / 75 / 16 (all similar rolling radius)

or

265 / 70 /16 and 265 / 60 / 18 (both similar rolling radius)

I think the ring at least is made by autotech:

Doubt they would sell you direct if they supply MB direct though...
