Recently I've been making trips to the local quarry with a tipping trailor hitched to my 300GD. Slogging up the steep track with a few ton of scalpings gave it a bit of a temperature so I decided to remove the a/c condenser as I didn't suspect the rad cos it looked fine from the back. Not from the front though. It's definately uncool. So I guess I'm in the market for radical improovement. Anyone got a spare one ?

The quarry run.

It's no use replacing an old radiator with another old one.

Have your rad recored. I believe that Roly knows a place that do this.

The quarry run.

just get it re-cored, look in yellow pages or speak to your local garage and find out who they use. expect a price from 90 to 130.

the quarry run.

Thanks for the prompt replies guys. A recore is the obvious remedy if no one has a newish rad surplus to requirements, but it'll have to wait till the quarry runs have been completed. Fortunately the old G is keeping its cool at the moment without the a/c rad in the way and the heater on.
Excellent forum by the way and a big thankyou to everyone involved
