need new springs
hi i am in ireland and have a saggy g wagon lwb diesel on skinney rims shod with 235 16 bfg mt. where can i get a set of springs to lift my g by 2 inches and not rattle the teeth out of my head.from what i have read shoks and brake lines should be ok is that the case. i have looked at orc web site wow big bucks. any ideas
ORC do a spacer kit to fit in between the spring and axle which achieves the same objective. But as you need springs any way, you might as well fit longer springs, these do not come cheap.
I have a set of Orc springs and 50mm kit.. I like them a lot though they are not progressive (MBs one are) and the ride is quite hard - you might want to consider upgrading the shocks at the same time - Bilstein Yellow/ Blue model are what Orc recommend. There is also the debate around the change to caster angle but I'll leave that for another day :-)
Truthfully it is pertty harsh.
If you are concerned about that, I'd go for MB springs or OEM with a spacer to accomodate the lift.
Does anyone know of any pattern springs ( Rear ) that are progressive?
Would buy Original except for the cost and they seem to last as long as you predict.
i have mounted Suplex springs, to the rear,
they are progressive ( i used the same color code yellow ) and i love them ( the springs under my car where a mess, different ratings left and right )
i ordered theme from a car parts suplier,
thanks its looking like orc is my best bet i hope the ride on 40mm lift springs is good
