Re: MY G

Apart from the obvious damage ,that looks tidy....the two knobs in the last photo are your F & R diff locks.

I would colour change though.

Re: MY G

Not Au-fait with the 460, but looking at the usual places, there does not seem to be any rust, which is a good thing, and apart from the obvious front damage, looks as if you have a nice little gem there. As pointed out the two little knobs are for your diffs and as for colour, is that the orginal one it came in, bit 80's for my liking LOL.

Many owners have had re spray's so feel free to post up and ask more questions!

Re: MY G

Keep the colour! Replace the front wings and the bumper. B4 checking out the difflocks make sure that the 4 wheel drive and low ratio box is working 1st

Re: MY G

Hi Danny

Solid looking G...

Unusual colour code 1000 Green Beige

Original 1983 UK spec motor with some reasonable spec for the year

Interesting option Y71 Paint for Cab/Body 1KG, whatever that is?

Rare colour....

Only 27 RHD G's painted that colour worldwide!!!

1x 230GE LWB PANEL VAN

2x 280GE SWB WAGONS

2x 280GE LWB WAGONS

3x 230GE SWB WAGONS

2x 240GD SWB WAGONS

9x 300GD SWB WAGONS

8x 300GD LWB WAGONS

As for colour, thats your choice, if you are treating as a classic car then the colour may affect the value, if it just an off road tool then please yourself.

I doubt it will affect the true value by more than a few hundred quid either way as it will have been painted previously and obviously needs painting again.

The probably Cat C or Cat D will affect the value more than the colour change

Re: MY G

Just out of curiosity, Danny, how are you trying to move them? I assume you know they don't turn. Pull them up (about five inches or so) to engage the diff-locks and push back down to disengage them. The linkage can seize if the mechanism hasn't been used for a while. The two controls should move easily enough when you are stationary, but they won't necessarily engage the diff-locks (warning lights on). They function best when the vehicle is moving at slow speed and preferably in low range. And try not to engage them if either wheel on the relevant axle is spinning, as that may damage the dog-clutch.

Sorry, I don't mean to teach you to suck eggs, I just got the impression you weren't sure what they did or how they did it.yes
