injector balancing

Hi, have seen these very basic looking devices for checking injector release pressure and spray pattern. They seem to be an adapted 2 ton bottle jack with a pressure gauge attached above a t section from which a section of injector pipe joins to your bosch injector and a diesel reservoir gravity fed into body of jack.
Has anyone experience of these or had a go at making one as i have only found suppliers in USA to date. Presumably the adjustment shims must be available from bosch to adjust release pop.
