help 617a + alto gearbox
The 617a diesel pump has no vacuum control valve, so I can not get 4th gear.
It feels like clutch slip but its a automatic.
Is there a way to mount the vacuum control valve from the 617 pump
onto the 617a diesel pump?

your gearbox operates viia the throttle linkage vacuum block mounted on the top of the rocker cover and this unit is linked to the same vacuum plumbing as the brake servo it has nothing to do with the fuel pump which has a vacuum operated stop mechanism
hi after a visit to a altomatic specialist the pump on the 617a (RW375/2200 MW 28-1)
will need a vacuum pressure control for the gear change we are going to try to fit the 1 of the 617 pump
has any 1 done this? thanks adrian
as you can see i dont have part 65 that goes on to the rusty shaft
my problem is no kick down and the gear change 3 / 4 i have to do manually

hi sorry no pics the 617 diesel pump is small and has a vacuum pump bolted on the side (red top)
the 617a is big diesel pump and has,nt got a vacuum pump just a shaft pokeing out the side
