Hi
does any one have any ideas
My 1988 280G after approx 35 miles of driving will start to hesitate and hold back this will not go away untill (whilst still rolling) I switch off the ignition and then re-start the engine using the key. This will then last for approx 10-15 miles and re-occurs .
I have checked the plug leads, fitted a new fuel filter, tried off another vehicle, fuel pump, coil and ignition module. All to no avail

Regards Giles

Loss Of Power

Hi Giles
Two things I can think of quickly. The rotor arm. They have a certrifical govenor on them which may be faulty. Try swapping that.
Also the fuel pump relay. Try swapping that with another one.

Let us know I'll think of something else

hold the fuel relay to see if its warm, if the fuel filter has never been changed the fuel pump will get hot and the relay will get very warm and will eventually burn out. I had the same problem with my 230. People forget to change the fuel filter putting pressure on the pump.
