1st one was in the Hughes of Beaconsfield car park  on Wednesday 11th Jan  (Photo to follow) really Nice Black 350 Bluetec with BRABUS pipes and interior, all black... actually rather nice.

2nd One was a nice Grey color, but not the same as mine.... Lady driver around 13:00 on the 11th of Jan, looked in rearview and she was driving a 350 BT.

3rd one was just by the crossroads  top end of Brentford, similar Grey to mine going towards Twickenham on Friday 13th Jan circa 15:00 , stopped at the front of the que, I was about 5 cars back - have a photo of the top of your G, will post later.

4th one, Saturday 14th Jan  around 18:20, M25 pulled off at the A12 junction nice silver 350 BT, Loads of flashing of the lights and a nice wave from the crew inside.

So was any of these YOU???? Don't be scared, reply to the post and say 'Hi'

Re: 4 in one Week!

Was seriously thinking about one of them about 3 months ago. But then I relised it would be an absolute nightmare insuring it; it was difficult enough to insure a LHD G320...

With the consumption of 24L/100km, top speed of 90km/h and power output of 75PS, it really is more demanding than running a G.

Re: 4 in one Week!

Saw my first since owning mine and the chap was pretty disinterested when I gave him a 'thumbs up'

It was a late model (09) G55

Perhaps the G500 wasn't worth recognising ;)

He obviously bourght it for all the wrong reasons then!
Quite exciting when you see your first one. I have only seen 3 on the road since I bought mine a year ago (not counting G events)

Re: 4 in one Week!

Well I have an update on the Beaconsfield G!

It is owned by an Icelandic Gent and his family, was out shopping yesterday and parked up at the local supermarket and there it was, so not missing a trick parked up next to it and lo and behold when I came out both him and his mate were looking over my G.

Had a really good chat with them both, shame he is off to live in LA in about 6 months time , but I suggested he take a look at the forum, as he is interested in shipping his G back to Iceland, so any advice/help on that front - please can you PM me back details/contacts and I can get him to buzz you direct.

Also - any members have the NEW G? What is the story on the rear facing bench seats? He ordered from the local dealer , who accepted the order, then just before it was to be delivered he was told that they are no longer allowed. Is this really the case? He is suggesting that they are also no longer allowed to be 'retro' fitted either. Any member here know of anything different?

4 in 1 week is a record spider !!

rather strange to hear that you cannot add jump seats to the new G. this also means you cannot void the congestion charge. [not that most of the owners around harrods are bothered...

only true G enthusiasts get all excited when we see another on the road. it becomes a family issue really cos the whole starts to bounce about when everyone in the G first spots one.

Re: 4 in one Week!

Rear facing bench seat? Didn't know they were available on a G.

As far as the side facing ones, as usual the legislation is a bit of a mess, but I think since 2006 (vehicles built after 2006) side facing seats can't be designated as travel seats. So you would possibley be ok retro fitting on an older vehicle, but not on a newer one. No doubt a search will find loads of loop holes though.

Re: 4 in one Week!

Did the Beaconsfield one also have a parking ticket for parking on a double yellow line?

Ohh No, no, no. We are civilised here and the attendant would always kindly ask us to move on..... mind you if it was a rangie, they would have towed it, as they are as common as muck around here. LOL
