Hi All,

i have owned my 2011 350d G for nearly 18 months in that time the elec windows and sunroof will only operate on one touch (i.e. not holding your finger on switch) to open. to shut either the windows or sunroof i have to keep my fingers on it.

i've watched several youtube videos to reset to no avail but have also read (not on here) that the W463 doesnt have one touch closing???

any advice appreciated

Dave

Re: W463 Elec windows

Not had a later model but I would say it is one touch

Assume you've tried the hold it manually all the way up and when fully up count to 10 and release reset method?

Just a thought - was this not a safety measure brought in at some point in response to childrens hands/heads getting caught in windows being closed with one-touch switches?

tried that method and many other variations which appear on youtube all of which have failed reset which is making me think that it is some weird Merc reasoning?

Re: W463 Elec windows

i wouldnt have thought so as you can still isolate the rear windows to prevent little ones from playing with them, so still confused.

That was a resistance thing... when going up it feels a resistance and goes back down

Often does it if window not quite aligned or lubricated even without kids fingers!

Maybe OP they are just not one touch then, would think it will tell you all about the window operation in the owners handbook

The MB cars I've had previously tell you of the function... so if no mention then mustn't have it ;0(

Pretty sure it was never a feature.  Mine is 2012 and one-ouch is only for open.

I'm going to test the safety back-off.  But not with my finger or head.

Note: the MB trick of holding the lock button on the remote locker does cause all open windows to shut.
