W463 1994 Window lift switch front drivers side

The bulb has failed in the switch and I understand they cannot be replaced.

Does anyone know the part number for a replacement please?

Ebay seems to be awash with possibles but they all have different part numbers.  This one seems to be a W140 - same part?

Hi

I have heard people can replace the bulb in the switches and i have done this myself too


Febi make aftermarket switches and mine is ok for little money. The part number is on the bottom of switch if you wish to try a new one

Dont quote me on this but i think mercedes ones are about 40 to 50 quid and these are about 6 pounds each


It wont be mercedes quality but mine is working fine still

Thanks for the response.

I bought one of the Febi ones but they are different and it looks sufficiently odd enough that I'd have to buy 3 more so they all match.

I may take a punt on a used EBay Mercedes one.

There are some switches the bulb can be replaced but very fiddley  work and potential on loosing spring and ball in the switch. 

Get the local MB dealer to quote you a price but you will need to furnish your chassis number to him otherwise he is working blind; hopefully the quote should have the part number on.

Alternatively, remove the switch and take the part number off it and check on "Google".

You may want to try Spal UK; they used to if not still supply after market electric window kits and had a selection of MB looking window switches.
