V8 Bi-Turbo G65
Thought that someone had got it wrong when I heard new G Wagon on a Cork Garage Forecourt for sale. So I wipped down to quickly to have a look....
Well..... its only a brand new G65 AMG V8 Bi-Turbo. Sales agent asked me not to touch it because its a special paint job and only 3 photos permitted !!!
Test drive was absolutely out of the question as vehicle is already sold waiting for the 2015 Plates. Sold for a snip at 285,000 euro - no trade in straight deal. Garage would not devulge new owner (as you'd expect).
Now,,,who the frig in the south of Ireland owns this beauty ?
could be a certain ex Man U footballer to join the GWOA fold ?

I thought the G65 was a V12 twin turbo.....
and the G63 was a V8 Twin turbo?
either would suit me though !!

I heard that it's the owner of Fota Island, and that it's a G63. Read somewhere that he wanted a G65 but couldn't get one in RHD.Have you seen my link in the chat section. Looks like an ex-military G and some Unimogs for sale near Kilkenny - nice Xmas present for yourself!

LOL.. yeah, I meant rare if it was a G65....
funnily enough, same shape as my old 1989 clunker... bit longer though..
Can't see him joining us for some off road fun with that paint. If I paid 12g for paint I would expect the car thrown for free!
Fota island resort is owned by the Kang family, very wealthy Chinease..
Hearing repeated rumours that is for a Mrs. Kang, new owner of Fota. Nice!

You might be right - the FOTA owner makes sense. I could be wrong on the G65 versus G63.
The last part of the conversation that I heard was the price and something about the paint job costing 12K extra - so don't touch. It looked like a Matt type finish.
