Hi

Any advice please as to the best brand of touch up pot for my 5929 Nautical Blue 1988 300GD?

Do Mercedes still have it available or do I need to look elsewhere?

Many thanks in anticipation...

...and a Happy New Year to All,

David

Any body shop should be able to supply a small quantity,  if you give them the code,

Re: Touch Up paint

In case anyone else is in similar need, Mercedes still stock a touch up stick in the colour I required, so probably have others of a similar vintage available. I ordered at my local dealer and it arrived in a couple of days. The kit includes a tube of colour and a tube of clear lacquer at a cost of £12.30 incl vat.

On a seperate matter, I have found that the Mercedes X Class rubber All Season Floormats are a fit for my 1988 W460.

I still have the original MB fabric mats over the carpet, but they are of an age and condition that they now need a little protection themselves, especially at this rather wet and muddy time of the year.

Part numbers are A 470 680 11009G33 for front pair and  A 470 680 17009G33 for one piece rear. Cost for both is £51.30 incl vat.

Re: Touch Up paint

MB good at old parts supply

Also some older colours have been reintroduced again

That retro vibe!

X Class mats a good call! I ran one two years ago and only LHD mats were available at the time... when RHD became available I put the LHD in my G 460 and fitted OK so RHD makes sense!

Go grab a bargain as dealers will have stock they want to get rid of since the end of production last year
