Hello Everyone, I'm happy to introduce myself and my loved G-Class! My name is Matteo, I'm 31 years old and I'm from Florence (Italy), I'm a mechanical engineer and I live in Leamington Spa for the last 5 years. The reason I joined this forum is because I inerithed from my grandad his old 300GD van of 1984 and with it his dream of restore it and convert it in a little campervan. After he passed away I decided to follow this dream and after more than one year of hard work I'm pleased to share this project with you and to be part of this fantastic community, I'm sure i have a lot to learn from your advices and the G-Class world in UK and maybe share something useful as well. Fun fact: I decided to drive my G-Class from Florence to Leamington in 6 days, sleeping inside it with my girlfriend and surprisingly it never gave me a single problem despite I did some tough mountain roads too, so after that I'm completely in love with it! Looking forward to meet you soon. Matteo

Well done, looks great, I remember seeing a 2 litre G-wagen in Rome in the early part of the century, seemed very odd until someone explained the tax laws on cars in Italia.

Man that is sweet.

That conversion looks great.  And the rest of the work. What does the solar roof power?

I have a rear ladder that would look great on that G.  Hope to get to see it one day.

That looks like a great conversion. The colour is lovely and the wood lining in the cab gives it a log cabin feel - very nice.

Cheers pal, the solar panels power the auxiliary battery for services (i have a mini fridge and a 5kw cabin heater in case it's cold). Yes send me in pm the pic if the ladder, it could be useful! Matteo
