SWB Bodyshells
Axle has kindly found me a new SWB chassis for my race-truck build which is going to make life a lot easier rather than using my existing chassis.
I was thinking I'd build the new truck up from that and then switch the shells, but I've been wondering how readily available SWB cabrio (or standard) bodies are too.
I seem to remember a raft of wolf bodies on ebay but can't seem to find any at the moment.. anyone seen or know of anything going at the moment? Could be either 460 or 61/63 as I'll refabricate the mounts if need be.
Try Guido (off road world) on clubgwagen, he's advertising one/some:

Ive got a rusty LHD cabrio, body only..... £300 no offers
Bad, had new panels fitted badly at some stage, the floor is rusted, but strangely the screen frame is mint, i was going to cut it up to donor bits for others, But I've not touched it yet

I would not want to recommend this company, and I wouldn't buy a complete vehicle from them (again) after my experience, but when I was there a few months ago, they had a rusting Cabrio out back. I cannot say in what condition, but I remember commenting on it and being told it had been there a while. It is located in Mapledurham, Berks., near Reading. http://www.g-wagen.co.uk

I think unfortunately it would be too much work to build up the bed and rear section that I will need and although the roll-cage could form part of that, if I can find a cabrio or SWB shell (edven if it needed a lot of work) that would be ideal.
