Hi guys speedo stopped working the on my 460 G, what is the likelihood it will need cable replacement? I just wondered if there is anything else I can check before ordering this part...

Undo the two screws on the sides of the instrument binnacle cover and remove it...this will expose the back of the clocks...... you should see the speedo drive cable  ... its most likely come off the back of the speedo (mine was loose) ... if not unscrew it and see if the cable comes out... if not trace it to the underside of the car...where it screws onto the gearbox... it may have come loose there....   most simple and quickest things to check...

Just disconnect the cable at the speedo and drive your g forward and see if the cable goes round

If it is not the cable you can get the speedo repaired / overhauled or get a good secondhand one.

Just had mine overhauled by speedy cables and it came back looking and working like new cost £164 and took 12 weeks in total to do!!
