Hi All - have a rounded and stuck bleed nipple on clutch slave (as always with these in bleedin' awkward locations; in this case behind exhaust and drive shaft). Hoping to remove without removing whole slave unit and will need replacement. Is this a case of standard 7mm that are readily available, or are MB special? Any removal tips also welcome... note working under car and don't have ramp :(

Another '5 minute job' gone pear-shaped! Hey ho, the fun of ownership!

There was a posting on master and slave clutch cylinder last year - you might get the info from the parts referenced...

Re: Replacement bleed nipple

Thanks - had read all these posts (did do my homework!), although had not followed all the links. Amazed at the price for replacement slave, under £20! Makes sense to replace - assume all brands effectively the same (anybody offer opinion on which brand better?)

Maybe consider full system overhaul - not diagnosed fault source yet, long clutch travel, fluid level stable so suspect seal issue following hours stuck in motorway traffic inching forwards this wek (to my knowledge still original parts, I haven't touched in 10 years)

Tally-ho!
