Petrol to diesel swap
Can anyone give me some information on fitting a 300 GD engine into my 230, i already ow both trucks but the 230's engine has died but has a good body, and the 300GD's engine is a corker but the body is not too good, i understand i will have to change tanks, but i have been told that the gearbox will cause me problems as the 230's is much smaller than the 300D,will the 230 box fit the 300d engine? if i fit the 300d along with the matching box will it fit under the 230 and fit to existing bits ? any help would be very much appreciated.
Its only a suggestion but have you thought about a body swap instead, might be easier option as bodies can be removed and replaced in a matter of a day with the right equipment (so I have heard) Thats as long as they are the same wheelbase size of course..
