Hi,

Can anyone advise what model injector pump this is, I believe it to be standard. My 406 has a turbo and intercooler modification which has been suggested requires a turbo IP. Any advise as always will be appreciated. If anyone has a decent turbo IP I'd be interested.

Cheers

Hi

What is wrong with your original pump???

There is only one person i could recommend to help and that is dieselmekan in sweden. He might have a pump or could modify a standard pump

It wont be cheap but you will be sure of getting a perfect pump set at the best and easily adjustable for fuel and boost pressure etc

This guy only does fuel pumps so he knows his stuff

Re: OM617 Injector Pump

I was under the impression that if I'm running a turbo on an non aspirated 617 I should update the IP to allow the turbo to work more efficiently? If this isn't the case I'm happy to keep the standard IP. Thoughts?

Re: OM617 Injector Pump

Hi

Thats no issue but you need to fit some sort of alda to increase fuel for when the turbo gives the engine more air than it could gain by normal aspiration

Many ways of doing this but a proper set up would be fuel efficient and no smoke when coming on to boost so to speak

If it does not have the fuel it needs to power the motor and cool the charge the engine wont live long if used to its full potential

Re: OM617 Injector Pump

Hi

So is it fairly straightforward to adjust my injector pump? Can I increase the fuel flow by adjusting the timing or do I need an Alda fitting? Sorry if I'm asking obvious questions, I'm gathering lots of useful information from a website called Mercedes Source which runs through lots of topics including injector pump adjustment.

Thanks again
