Numbers under VIN plater

GVW gross vehicle weight 

Then individually max axle weights 

1 front 2 rear

Ah OK

For this LHD 280GE LWB from 1984 from the Spanish market 

First number is body / production number and doesn't mean much to us 

1681 is exterior paint code - in this case Wheat Yellow (Weizengelb)

V24 is the interior colour code or spec so in this case it's (V18 which is black interior) with V24 interior trim in rear compartment
