Good afternoon everybody.

I'm new to this forum and thought I start by introducing myself. I'm mostly interested in learning how to do more work on my car myself and some nice places to take her offroad around London and maybe Brighton.

I still have to figure out why my name appears as info1 and why my profile picture gets automatically rotated to the side once uploaded, but here we go.

Best,

Ed

Welcome to GWOA and well done working out the Forum/posting.  Its not the most modern but does a job.

Nice utilitarian look to your G350..  What year? I have the 350 BlueTec but I just tuned it and turned off the NOX sensors and Ad Blue function for a bit.  I like the function but it was throwing up sensor errors..

Apart from routine stuff, I can't see myself doing much on the engine, but there are bits to do on the body, wiring, accessories.

As for off-road - its getting hard to find lanes unless you own land or go somewhere specific for it.

Enjoy the site.

p.s what Username you want - I can get that fixed?

You could Google "Greenlanes" and see where that gets you. Welcome - and all the best.

Re: New member, 350d

Hi Jdring and Nick,

thank you so much for the replies. And sorry for the late response on my end. We're moving to London on Thursday and things are hectic, to say the least. Also, very expensive to insure the car and bike. This being my first year in the UK I had to start from scratch for motorcycle and car insurance, so no NC Bonus.

I have the 2014 version and thank you for the compliment, I changed basically every from the skid plates to the roof-rack.

The engine does work like a charm but the ULEZ is going to hit me hard starting from October next year, so I wonder if I should upgrade the engine or install one of those systems lowering pollution.

Any ideas on that topic? Also, given we have G's do some of you meet frequently to go offroading, especially near London?

As for Greenlanes it really is hard to find some around nowadays. I will send you a private message now about the name JD.

Best wishes,

Ed
