Hello!

I've been on this forum for a few months now, asking various questions, prodding users about their G experiences and umming and ahhing all day long.

Finally took possession of my "new" G last Thursday.

And I am over the moon with it.

I was looking for something special, but this one has blown my socks off. And I'm a guy who rides a Vmax, so thats saying something!

I finally settled on a bespoke G, with a lightly-breathed on Musso Diesel engine 662a wink, a six speed manual box, 461-remake with minimal electrics and maximum everything else. It is stunning to behold and in the short time I've had it I've put almost 1000 miles on it and she hasn't missed a beat. I've amassed a selection of tools in the hope that I will get my hands dirty with much success, as this one is a keeper.

I had some great advice along the way, and Tiny Tim was instrumental in finding my dream G. In fact the GWOA has been a great help so I have joined up today and am very happy to have done so.

Lots of pictures to follow, so watch this space yes

Unfortunately not, I was too late to the party and missed that sale by a heartbeat surprise

This one was built by the same team out in Bristol, and is everything I was looking for laugh

Thanks all, yes indeed I am very pleased.

At the moment I have arranged for some window tints to be put in, upgraded media and security, reversing sensors and a few minor extras under the skin. Once those are done I will be putting up a load of pictures.

Got my GWOA Members pack today. I hope to make it to the AGM next month. Feel like part of the team now yes

The Bosch Park-Pilot URF-7  reversing sensors are available from Amazon for about £130 and are the same sensors that are factory-fit.

Re: New G in Essex

All done.

Tints, reversing sensors sourced and professionally fitted (cheers Arnie, I owe you a drink), working great. Full closure alarm, tilt and tracking system, DAB+, bluetooth handsfree, new speakers and a subwoofer laugh all in there too.

Private plate is on its way from the DVLAyes

Next on the agenda will be an interior retrim (next year) and of course, regular detailing.

Am not changing anything externally, no spoilers, no extra lamps, no roof rack, not even an extra antenna. This is my dream car made real.

Cheers Tim, Mark, Phil, Spider, GWOA and Mercedes!

Looks terrific. Are you bringing it along to the AGM so we can see it in the flesh?

Cheers guys.

Would be great to get to the AGM, but family commitments have gotten in the way for now.

Though who knows. Am only 130 miles away from Warwick and this G can shift!
