Finally on the road my non turbo 300gd ru s sweet gearbox has loosened up and is smooth.
But it is a really hard ride it handles like a go cart.
I've had 18" astaroth new springs new suspension seem to have to steer all the time as well as wear a back brace

Re: My diesel cabrio
If it wanders and doesn't want to go in a straight line there are a few things to check
- Tracking, should be parallel to half a degree of toe in, if there is even the slightest amount of toe out it will be all over the place
- Tyre pressures I'd say about 30-32 on 18s
- Play in your steering box.
- Play in any steering joints
- A worn steering damper
Hope that helps

Re: My diesel cabrio
Thats a cool vehicle. Im sure it wont have many issues. How it drives might be fine but with any modifications there are plusses and minuses
It will sort itself with a bit of help. I used to MOT a similar vehicle and it drove smooth compared to other vehicles of the same era. I wish i had bought it. It was far from mint and a farm vehicle but in 1989 i had no interest in g wagons it was just fast cars
The farmer sold it not long ago for good money so hang on to yours as it wont de value any time soon
