My Name is Adrian and I'm currently studying at the royal military college of science just outside swindon, but originally come from the Tewkesbury area on the Gloucestershire/Worcestershire borders. You may notice my name is a bit strange, a kind of joke really, I drive a slighty faded red K reg 463 300GD SWB, hence the name Pink Panzer. In all our family has six 463 300GD's two LWBs and 4 SWB's, we've had quite a few things go wrong with them and we all help each other out fixing them. I do occassionally go off roading with the panzer, lately I've been going to a place called Toms 4x4 in central wales, it's not bad. The G will climb anything, I think my Landy friends I go with despise it a bit for it's capabilities  . Here is an intresting pick I found of a prototype G for the Danish army.... . Note the very nice off-roading tyres it has on the 18" alloys. BFGoodrich Mud Terrain I believe.

Hello there

Welcome aboard Pink Panzer.

I was just wondering the other day how many Gs were in existance in the UK, and how many owners that would translate to. Then I started to theorise that there are probably far fewer owners than Gs due to the fact that many owners actually own two Gs. You've both supported and just shot my theory out of the water by having six....

I guess you could say that you and your family like Gs..... :D

They make good farming tools

Its due mainly to the fact that we come from a big farming family, we used to own quite a large farm, but due to BSE and foot and mouth it has rather dimished. It started with the families first white SWB 460 300GD, a very competent equivalent to having the farmers norm of a defender 90. After that we were all addicted and we use them for all sorts of jobs now.

Hello there

adrian,

beside the thing i wrote you on the wheel/tire topic, i thought you might like this pic.
note: the same 16" wheels in 18" style but painted in black. i guess at some stage they realized that flashy alloy wheels are not very helpfull on a camouflage military vehicle.... :D
