Good afternoon, I am a new memebrs and I would appreciate some advice, I am preparing a GD250 Wolf W461 1993 SWB for an expedition. I added a large superwinch, and am aware the nose has dropped. I would also like to raise the vehicle up 5cm as thats apparently the higest raise without effecting the steering. Can someone recomend a company or person I cant talk to  who will provide advice on the springs I need for a heavily loaded vehicle, that are also OK onroad when not fully loaded. I understand the OEM ones are variable rate springs, and most aftermarket oines are fisxed rate load/compression.  The vehicle is in Norfolk. Thank you very much in advance for any advice. Haslen

Hi , you can obviously buy genuine  at a price!

Look at Spidan  GKN,  Catalogue,  has a large selection of different rate springs,  white is the heavy duty for rear, not sure of colour code for front.

Buy in Germany  , get sent over, far cheaper than original and good quality

Hello i ? and welcome to the GWOA.

I would recomend that you contact https://www.cormillenaar.nl/occasions/who-is-cor-millenaar-english  they are based in Holland but specialise in all things G Wagon and have lots of experience in prepping G Wagons for competition and expeditions. They will be able to give you good advice as well as sell you the correct parts. Send them an email (in english) explaining what you need and they will get back to you with the solution.

I think you beat me to that G when it was for sale at Jacksons. It looked to be in very good condition and came with a nice set of Hutchinson beadlock wheels. When I eventually made up my mind to buy it I was to late, however it seems to have gone to a good home.

If you decide to sell it on after your expedition please let me know.

Regards

Doug.

Why not lift the body with spacers, only modification is longer fuel hose?. Those props won't thank you if you raise the suspension .
