Headlight Washer
This will probably seem like a very silly question but here goes anyhow.
I’ve purchased a replacement headlight washer nozzle and when fitted with the front correctly pointing to spray water on the headlight the hose connector at the back is in a horizontal position whereas the old hose connector was pointing towards the ground.
Not wanting to break this new unit and unable to adjust the nozzle of the old unit I thought it best to ask the stupid question – how do you adjust the hose connector or the nozzle to change direction?
Thanks in advance.
Martin
Not sure, but i would guess that you can rotate the the centre part with the nozzle. otherwise different part numbers would be required for left and right. Maybe inserting a small needle in the hole will help to rotate it.
(You might test with the old one first, if you have it.)
Does it otherwise look the same as the old one?
Just wondering whether it's the right part, then?
I guess there's not enough space behind the cowling to fit the hose connector horizontally?
I have one which some tool snapped off and yes the washer does move very very tight .but does move did it with my teeth as pliers would mark or snap it
Thanks Arnie, I tried to adjust the old unit but had no joy, which left me unsure and a little confused hence the question.
