Gott und Himmel!  Verraterin!

Actually good luck.  I'm waiting for the EQG.  I expect it will be a fair bit more though.

Re: Grenadier

I was having a look at the configurator on line.   It is appealing in the metal, it's good to have a play on line, but personally I'm not yet sold on the interior.  Somewhere I picked up 75,000 people have expressed an interest, which I don't think means deposits necessarily, and annual sales of 9000 units are expected for the UK. I'm keeping an eye on it, but prefer my G.

Re: Grenadier

Got the invite,  but rumours of 45k plus put me off.

Amazed at all these people thinking its a replacement Land Rover,  coverage given to it in LR forums etc, clearly most of them have never looked at a G,

Looks good tho, but the marketing very clever

Diff locks optional?  Price?

Is a Union Jack an option?

Good job it's a commercial  as the  Road Tax will be high?

Yes I'm keeping my G of course!!

I quite fancy one of these to go alongside my G (which is LHD), and a couple of Hiluxes that I also have (one quite old and one newish)

I think they are trying pretty hard to build something worthwhile and new

I would probably get the two door commercial version as it's less likely to fall foul of Greta

I'd like a Land Cruiser 70 series but not easy to get one here that will pass the MOT emissions tests

Re: Grenadier
We are just taking stock after a most interesting weekend at Drumlanrig Castle. The Grenadier - even in current prototype guise - is a remarkable vehicle.

Do tell Nick. A lot of folk here are tracking it. Assuming it needs to compare to the G Professional

Re: Grenadier

Having subscribed some while ago we joined Team Grenadier at Drumlanrig Castle, Dumfries and Galloway for Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th October, 2021 camping (?) comfortably in our motorcaravan after a hearty hog roast.

Vegetarian options were available.

The whole event was thoroughly professional and super organised without being over slick or impersonal.

The vehicle itself is being nurtured in Graz (sound familiar?) and currently exists in prototype form only. It is known that various things will need to be changed before production proper begins next Spring in the epicentre of Europe, only a few hours away from where the latest 84 ECU adorned  L/R Defender (in name only) is being put together.

With high ranking key INEOS Grenadier personnel on hand it became clear that comments and suggestions are invited, welcomed and will be heeded.

Because the vehicles are prototypes we could not drive them. However, professional drivers took us round a wet, muddy, rocky and slippery grass up and down circuit. It is hoped that mere mortals will be able to take the wheel next March/April.

The word to sum up the experience is: EFFORTLESS.

It never blinked at anything it faced.

You get what you pay for and the Grenadier will not be bargain basement. However, out of the box, it will not need any extras although any number of options is available.

This vehicle is, quite simply, phenomenal.

We will continue to follow it with interest.

Re: Grenadier

Ha. That's great.

A no-nonsense capable 4x4 is welcome.  It must have some comfort and excellent quality finish too. And it will need to stand the test of time (like a G).  It is taking time to materialise, but then so is the EQG.

Re: Grenadier
Among other KSPs the Grenadier has supremely comfortable Recaros. Even over the rough stuff one might as well be on a magic carpet. INEOS is working with Hyundai cf. hydrogen cell technology. Whatever the eventual price I doubt it will be up there with Graz's finest!

Re: Grenadier

Interesting,  very few 4x4s have really amazing suspension,  except perhaps a Pinzgauer,

Ford Raptor? But not cheap and looks ?.?

My 2018 Land Cruiser not bad tho
