Dear All,

Please help me and explain the nature and use fullness of the 2B gear. Is it supposed to be used during off roading as keeping the gear on low gear, or as hill climbing or down the hill.

How does it work????

Thanks for any answers

The 2B setting on the gear selector allows you to select and hold the normally unused first gear in both the high and low range gears. To select it just push the gear selector across, usually when stationary to avoid over revving the engine.

As you say it is useful for very steep ascents or descents when you need to maintain maximum engine braking and for pulling away when stationary towing a heavy load. It is also useful for drag racing off the lights (for about 50 feet !).
