G290DT Turbo Actuator 312
Looks like I am going to need an actuator for the turbo on my 312 OM602 powered G. Power loss for some time . Will test it this morning and then if possible to take it off the turbo in place if humanly possible . As donor engine was from a 2000 Sprinter I wonder if this actuator was shared with other Merc diesels or does someone have the part number for it. ? From what I read the actuator can give problems.
Hi John
MB do list an a Waste Gate Actuator on EPC but not for all models, so could do with either the donor 312D Chassis Number or the OM602.980 Engine Number?
Listed is A 602 096 00 69 98 GBP + VAT
MB Germany have 19 in stock
Not sure of what your actual problem is, i have a massive list of "to check" items for OM602 G Conversions that i have sent to several already.
If you want it just confirm an email and i will forward it...
Difficult to know on individual conversions what Sprinter parts were use etc, ECU? Switches?
The Sprinter has a Transducer that controls the Waste Gate Actuator, a little Black Box that sites behind the Right Head Lamp on the Sprinter, these fault for fun and also the Vacuum pipe work leaks / breaks / comes off....
Clutch and Brake pedal switches jammed or broken also cause same issues as do, stop/tail lamp Bulbs fitted the wrong way around can lead to these issues on a Sprinter, (if the ECU senses the brake lights on it cuts the throttle!)
Lots of silly things can cause your issues... it all depends what has been integrated into your G

Gav.
Could you send me your OM602 "to check" list please. Going at my conversion next week (at last).
Eddie.
That sounds like it's in limp home mode. TPS (throttle sensor) can cause that.
Do you have the ecu or are you running mechanical
well it was not the turbo Actuator. Buttoned the G back up and went for a run. Stormed down the Coast like it ought and came back noy able to Rev above 2500 in top. The fact that it is intermittent is perplexing. Using ECU engine is a OM 602980 00223387
