does anyone know where i could find either anew or decent used fuel tank for my 89 swb 300gd. mines leaking, i can only fill it up to 1/2. also would this be the reason for sluggish performance ie drawing in air.

Very few and far between I am afraid. I suggested as a club we should try and buy a couple and have them renovated I have a company here in Canterbury that will do them for about £100+ then someone could do an exchange for a renovated one for a fee of course.
Alternatively if they are pin holes have you tried POR15 http://www.por15.com/
Can be obtained from various UK outlets of which I have forgotten where i got mine from. Ill dig out invoice and repost

yes I had my plastic tank welded by a local midlands company called ' the plastic fan company' but any plastics company will be able to do it.
