Door mirror screw part numbers please?

Hi everyone, the screw at the base of my wing mirror has come out and the mirror now won't stay out. Can anyone tell me the part number please? She's an early W463 300d lwb manual and. An help would be great! Thanks!

Hi Mud,

This sounds as though it might be a similar problem to me, although the screw is not lost on mine.

If it is the same problem as me, are you sure that there is still a good thread for the screw to screw into? My problem is that the thread in the plastic part has completely worn away so the screw won't bind . That screw is what appears to be what keeps the mirror in position - so on mine the mirror has a tendency to come inwards slightly when driving along.

I have the screw - just not sure how to make it lock into the slightly oversized hole with no thread.
