Distributor Cover Housing Cap, Outer Cover
Sorry to bother but does anyone know where to source a Distributor Cover Housing Cap, Outer Cover or can anyone supply the part number as I am having difficulty with MB without the part number.
The model is a 300GE on a 463 227 chassis and it is an M103 987 engine.
The part was missing when I bought the vehicle and am beginning to understand why it was not replaced!

ME thinks he is not after the distributor cap but the shield covering the cap. This is dealer part only. I don't have access to an EPC to give a part number; I will try to get back on this.
I have a nice schematic kindly supplied by Gav when I was looking for the same thing. My G is same chassis and engine as yours so should work for you.

Many thanks for the replies.
MB in Denmark came back to me with a part number so all ordered now and hopefully I should be able to keep the worst of the elements out once received.
I also had a local mechanic replace the distributor itself -symptoms were occasional failure to start and occasional cutting out but now seems to be remedied -distributor issues possibly exacerbated by the lack of the external cover
