Hi All,

Good ol' rust has eaten away the entire surround of the headlight holding the right side headlight and the 'protective bowl' inside the wheel arch has broken away (and resembles filo pastry as my wife commented). Had considered doing a patch job to make headlight support (is all hidden behind headight cowl) but suspect replace entire front wing makes better sense. Note I'm not fussy about pristine looks, work horse functionality fine, but rust does extend in multiple areas. Can find prices for wing of £120 (https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/wing-parts-10285/mercedes-benz/g-cla...) , but not any available (is 1 on ebay at £190 plus $50 postage...).

Does anybody have any suggestions please or know where any wings are available? Also, how do I get hold of a replacement in-arch headlight protective bowl (or whatever it's called?).

Would  be happy to just have the forward facing part of the wing (that includes the headlight mount), perhaps from a removed front wing - this would actually be better as still needing to use the car, so temporary quick fix until have time to do job properly (both sides!).

Any assistance would be very grateful - will also be after replacement black headlioght cowls, again don't mind if not pristine, all about reuse/recylce...

Cheers,

Stewart

For the sake of saving £30 or so, those are 'new' and gives you consistency on both sides.  I'd get those if it was me.

Then you need a couple of those headlamp shields / bowls

Agree (and looking as my next step to purchase the set) - but still putting out there if anyone has anything to 'recycle'

I have a feeling that Gav Helme may have what you need. He's not here as often as he used to be but try dropping him a message/email.
