Alternator required or my W460 280ge 1987
Evening .. does anyone have a alternetor / regulater for sale.. many thanks geoff...
Worth making sure whether it is the alternator or just the regulator. Admittedly my G is not the same (1991 463 G300) so my experience might not apply but got a new regulator a year or so ago for £54 + VAT. My regular garage got it so probably sourced from MB dealer parts dept.
A lot cheaper than a new alternator.
Do you have an auto electrician nearby? In most cases, your existing one can be rebuilt.
Probably a stupid question but have you tried your MB dealer parts dept?
Is it a Bosch unit? My garage is a Bosch Service Centre so it's possible they got a regulator via that route if not from MB parts department.

thanks for your reply, iv ordered 2 seperate regulators from serchers on google both time paypal refunded due to not posting to uk or something wrong with postal address.. will keep tryinmg to sorce a regulator with fingers crossed
