Back on G project. Doe anyone know if diesel G's have a thermal cutout that prevents restarting if the car is too hot or over revved? How does the max rpm limit work on the pump when reached. Does it cut fuel and make it run rough? The reason I ask is that the car cut out when revved up to 5500 with boost connected. I don't have the radiator or water plumbed in yet but everything is connected including temp sensors. Just wanted to know if this is a safety device. Maybe I overrevved it ? I don't know how it should work if revved too high. Anyone?

I think it will open at 14-16.. It a pressure type one. I have an inline boost controller to vary it. Revs up fine. Got the boost gauge and egt on now and am investigating..

If you don't have water plumbed yet the sensors won't read anything either.

Maybe you already cooked it?

For your sake I hope not. You might be lucky. I once cooked a BMW i.e. the motor heat seized. When it cooled of again I could start it again and it ran as before. Had to replace some seals as they "burnt" but the motor ran for more than 100k km+ afterwards without opening it until I sold the car.
