 Having run a very nice OM606 for several years now (thank you, G-Restorations, for transforming the notorious fixwins scandalous bodgery into something very useable) I am generally interested in what else might be out there as it seems such an obvious motor to put into a 460.  Recently I have seen on YouTube an entertaining character extolling the marvels of the OM606 engine as fitted by "dieselpumpuk" to a L/R Defender as well as a G and wondered whether anyone here has had experience of what is being offered by them.  The video productions certainly look slick; are the completed projects as good?

In the earlier stages of the G-Wagen concept going back to the W460's there was talk of fitting a Porsche 928 V-8 lump. Something on my wish list.

I have no direct knowledge of them but if you look at photos of their g Wagen conversions you'll see the inter cooler hanging below the front bumper. Just wrong!! Doesn't bode well for the rest of the conversion.
